Hello.

'Set Your Ray Gun On Stun Then Put It To Your Head' will just have to be my sixth album, not my fifth as noted below for I chose to release this:

Click on it to hear it in last.fm for free.  This is what I wrote about it on the site:

“This music was not originally intended for public release. This is a collection of songs recorded specifically for a two-month showing of my artwork in the fall of 2007, to be on continuous loop in the background at the gallery. As I produced the work for this one-time event, and with minimal budget, I never intended to do so with public release standards being involved. What this really means is that I regarded the project with a certain jubilant abandon and frequently did things like recording in noisy, ad-hoc environments; mixing in unbalanced rooms on unfamiliar speakers; and remaining generally agreeable to welcoming mistakes as part of the process. Add to this that the original DAT master tape is damaged and features permanent digital buzzes and noises in spots (some of them quite nice). I’ve left the songs in their original running order and did nothing to improve upon their sound quality. Of course, if you’re really interested in reliving the event as it was, I suppose playing the songs in order at very low volume in a room full of people enjoying some wine and cheese might do the trick. Maybe open a window too.” - Don Himlin, November 2009
Musicians:
Kjell Benner – bass;
Dave Mattes – guitar;
Misti Donahower – drums;
Don Himlin – guitar, stick, synthetics, piano, percussion, harmonica, vocals.

The website company that hosted the Cyclops Eye Music store (the label I am associated with) has ceased to function properly and also ceased to answer email.  So I'm in the process of shutting that down and setting up an MP3 download store with CD Baby.  I'll link it here when all is said and done.

Thanks for checking in!

Hello there.  Here's the latest:

My fifth album 'Set Your Ray Gun On Stun Then Put It To Your Head' is in the final stages of recording (which does not (in any way) mean it is imminently to be finished, unfortunately).  Over the past month I've been mixing and prepping the tracks for a lead vocal session.  I'm also working on a book (see ARTWORK: PROJECTS IN PROGRESS), and that is going very well indeed.  I admit that nothing ever progresses fast enough - save for the passage of time - which is too fast.

Thanks for checking in!
