Pictures from Hurricane Charley

Hurricane Charley delivered a glancing blow to Collier county but we still had winds approaching 90 mph.  Most of the damage to the county was landscape damage as well as widespread power outages.  We had no power for 2 and a half days. There also some pictures from the Punta Gorda/ Port Charolette areas off of I-75.  These were taken over a month after the storm. Unreal.  Hover over images for a text description. Tree down in the road, tons of trees were down Some of the debris on the road More downed trees Road debris My truck serving double duty as a generator The inverter I bought, don't expect to power much on these
Some of the flooding I threw much of the lanai stuff into the shed Our apple tree was partially uprooted The lime tree/bush took a beating
The lanai was pretty bare The tree bythe front of the house is leaning now as well The standing water is as bad as I can remember it
The generator I bought to save the day Nothing on the lanai except Nicki A better shot of the generator
The steel light poles were bent over like plastic straws The billboards looked like they were hit with a bat
Tons of places had blue tarp covered roofs. All the highway signs were gone
